This workshop is designed for death doulas, caregivers, and anyone supporting families through end-of-life care. Together, we’ll explore how to navigate funeral planning—whether working with a funeral home or choosing independent options.

Topics include:

• What a funeral home does (and doesn’t do)
• Understanding common charges, hidden fees, and the General Price List
• How to choose a funeral home that aligns with family values and needs
• Home funerals and home burials: what’s possible
• DIY funerals: when and how to work without a funeral home
• Preparation and shrouding techniques

This training combines practical guidance, cost transparency, and hands-on knowledge, giving doulas and caregivers tools to better serve families at one of life’s most important moments.
