Speaker Series: Medical Examiner

Guest Speaker, Sandra VanOverbake has been in the death care industry since 2010. She has a Master’s in Forensic Science from University of Florida. She began her career as an Autopsy Technician, developing the needed skills to becomine a Death Investigator at Chief Medical Examiner’s Office for the State of North Carolina. She now works for a local organ procurement organization, HonorBridge, servine the community by caring for deceased individuals through the donor’s gift of life. She spends her “free time” teaching at Wake Techincal Community College and serving as a medical examiner for Orange County.
