Obituary

Betye Jackson was a brilliant light and a talented soul.  She was known for her commitment to her faith, family and the arts.

Married in 1969, Betye transplanted from her birthplace of Birmingham, AL to Detroit, MI where she remained until she retired. There she married Skilled Tradesmen, Curtis Jackson, raised two children and built a comfortable life. Although the marriage dissolved years later, both Betye and Curtis retained strong family ties and prospered in their respective lives. Betye advanced from a part-time clerical assistant to a Senior Government Analyst.

Betye was praised for her volunteer work with several organizations, including: UNCF, Good Fellows of Detroit, Synergy and others.

Betye was a Woman of Faith and openly confessed her faith in Christ prior to her passing.

It is with much love and sadness that her children say their final “Goodbye”. Peace and grace to our Queen.
