Obituary

Joshua Travis Hopkins-Bugajski, 42, formerly of Denton, passed peacefully at his residence in Raleigh, NC on Saturday, October 5, 2024.

Joshua was a funeral director at Endswell Funeral Home in Hillsborough, NC, and also worked as a laser specialist and injector at Wake Skincare in Wake Forest, NC. Joshua also ran and owned Anubis Embalming Services as an independent embalmer for Wake County and the surrounding areas.

A private family service will be held in Roanoke, VA on Saturday, October, 12th. There will be a Celebration of Life for the funeral community and friends on Friday, October 18th at Renaissance Funeral Home on Six Forks Road in Raleigh, NC at 6:00 pm.

Joshua leaves behind his father, James Dean Hopkins and mother, Sabrina Miller Hopkins of Roanoke, VA; a brother, James Mark Hopkins (Valerie) of White House, TN; grandmother Patsy K. Miller of Roanoke, VA; nephew, James Garrett Hopkins (Jana Claire) of Gallatin, TN; nieces, Alexis (Lexie) Renee Hopkins and Breanna Lynn Hopkins of TN; aunts, Renee Miller Harris (Bobby) of Roanoke, VA, Gina Hopkins Giles (Marvin) of Denton, NC, Ashley Graves Johnson (Jonathan) of Greenville, NC, and Stephanie Whitaker Lanier (Lee) of Lexington, NC; uncle, Don (Donnie) Lee Miller of Summerfield, NC; cousin Trey (Tyler) Harris of Charlotte; and numerous loving great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins.

Preceding him in death are his grandfathers Donald Lee Miller and James Riley Hopkins, and grandmother Sue Wallace Ferrell, all of Denton.

The family of Joshua wants to thank the funeral community and his friends for being so very kind during this very difficult time. It means so much to us that others loved Joshua, his infectious laugh, many talents, incredible creative and artistic abilities, and the care he gave to others, especially families who had lost a loved one.

The family is deeply appreciative of the support and encouragement they have received from all of their family and friends, the staff at Endswell Funeral Home and Wake Skincare, Shenandoah Baptist Church in Roanoke, VA, Mineral Springs Baptist Church in Vinton, VA, as well as Joshua’s co-workers and community during this difficult time.
